Health Risk Appraisal (HRA)

Know the Score When it Comes to Your Health.
When you participate in A Healthier You™ by Blue KC, you’ll receive a personal health score that gives you a snapshot of your overall health and wellness.

Complete a Health Risk Appraisal in minutes.
Take charge of your health by completing A Healthier You Health Risk Appraisal (HRA) questionnaire in just 15 minutes. If you are not a Blue KC member, you can still take the HRA.  If you don’t know all of your numbers, you can still complete the HRA by simply answering “don’t know” where applicable. And, please be assured that taking the HRA is voluntary and confidential.

Get a personal health score and an instant report.
After answering a few questions about your health and lifestyle, you’ll receive an instant online report with your personal health score and tips on how to make good health choices. The HRA report identifies potential health risks and makes recommendations for health and wellness goals that you can set to reduce your risks. So, for example, if the results show you have too much stress, the HRA may recommend walking 30 minutes a day as one way to reduce stress.

Share your HRA results with your healthcare providers.
We encourage you to share your HRA results with your healthcare providers as part of your total healthcare management plan. And, keep in mind that only Blue KC and health professionals involved in A Healthier You by Blue KC will see your HRA results. We won’t share your results with anyone else, because we’re dedicated to keeping your online personal information private and secure.

Take preventative steps to take care of your health.
By taking preventative health steps, you could save money on long-term healthcare expenses. Most importantly, you may find that you just feel better. For more information on how to participate in A Healthier You by Blue KC, call 816-395-2121 or e-mail us at ahealthieryou@bcbskc.com.
