BlueChoice health plans.
As an employer with 100 or more employees, you can choose up to four of the following BlueChoice health plans as part of your health insurance package.
Preferred-Care Blue Premium PPO: employees can access a broad network of healthcare providers and can choose their deductible and level of benefits
Blue-Care® HMO: this plan allows employees to select a Primary Care Physician (PCP) who helps coordinate their medical care
PersonalBlue PPO: this high-deductible plan features a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) funded by the employer
BlueSaver® PPO: a high-deductible health plan that has lower premiums and higher deductibles than a traditional health plan and can be paired with a Health Savings Account (HSA), which provides tax-savings benefits.

BlueCard® PPO Program.
When your employees participate in a BlueChoice PPO health plan, they are automatically enrolled in the BlueCard® PPO Program. In addition to our local PPO network of providers, the BlueCard program gives employees access to an extensive nationwide network of providers and access to providers in 200 countries outside the United States. It’s ideal for employees who travel or live outside your headquarters location.

Blue KC offers several options for funding your BlueChoice health plan - from fully insured, in which you pay a set monthly premium, to cost plus, in which you accept the risk for claims-related costs.
