
Scott McAdams
Senior Vice President, Chief Audit, Compliance and Risk Officer
Scott McAdams is the Senior Vice President, Chief Audit, Compliance and Risk Officer at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC). He provides oversight and strategic direction for the Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Compliance and Privacy, Regulatory and Government Programs Compliance, Information Governance, Information Security, Audit Services, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and Vendor Management and Government Relations units.
Scott is responsible for organizational risk assessments, audit activity and compliance with applicable federal, state and local rules, regulations and requirements to ensure Blue KC runs smoothly to support its members.
Before joining Blue KC, Scott served as the Vice President and Chief Audit Compliance and Risk Officer for Health Alliance Medical Plans. He serves on the Chief Audit Executives Council of The Conference Board, on the board of the American Lung Association of Kansas City and on the advisory board of the Community Blood Center.
Previously, Scott was an active board member for several community organizations in the Village of Chatham, Illinois. He was an elected official to the Chatham Village Board and served on the Chatham Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors and the Ball Chatham Education Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Scott earned a Master of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Illinois University.
