There are acronyms \u2013 that stand for what? There are dozens of unfamiliar terms. We know it can feel overwhelming. We also know that when you have a better handle on the terms, you are better equipped to make the right healthcare decisions for you and your family.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Look it up in the Blue KC Glossary<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Any time you come across an unfamiliar term, you don\u2019t need to wonder what it means. We encourage you to look it up.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can visit<strong> <\/strong>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluekc.com\/consumer\/glossary.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Blue KC Glossary<\/a> for definitions, as well as our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluekc.com\/consumer\/faq.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Frequently Asked Questions<\/a> for topics ranging from billing to prescription drugs to provider selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Some common terms to get you started&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few of the terms you\u2019ll come across most often.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Coinsurance:<\/strong> The percentage of an allowable charge you must pay for a covered service.
