And for good reason.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual preventive visit lets your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluekcblog.com\/well-said\/happy-and-healthy-b-may-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">primary care provider<\/a> (PCP) keep tabs on your overall wellness, hear your health concerns, and prevent issues down the line. The visit includes many <a href=\"https:\/\/bluekcmemberportal.azureedge.net\/consumer\/pdfs\/Preventive_Services.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">routine preventive services<\/a>, such as immunizations and necessary screenings, and is covered at 100%*.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blue KC recommends that everyone receive an annual preventive visit \u2013 adults, young children, teens. Be your own best health advocate by going in prepared with questions and concerns. This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluekcblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Preventive-Visit-checklist.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">checklist<\/a> can help you get organized.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schedule your visit&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t have an in-network PCP, find one in your neighborhood using the Find Care tool on your member portal. Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/members.bluekc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MyBlueKC.com<\/a>, select Find Care in the left column, then enter any of the following in the search bar: PCP, family medicine, internal medicine, general practice, pediatrician, or a specific provider name.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re a Spira Care member, schedule your $0** preventive visit at one of eight <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluekcblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Spira-Care-Advanced-Primary-Care_Flyer.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spira Care Centers<\/a> in the Kansas City metro area.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;A few other tips to keep in mind when you schedule your appointment:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ask for preventive care screenings and tests that are 100% covered by your plan.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask if there are any tests or treatments done during your appointment that might not be considered preventive care.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask if talking about nonpreventive-care health problems during your appointment will lead to extra costs.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get rewards<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Blue KC takes preventive care a sweet step further with a $25 gift card for completing your annual preventive visit by December 31, 2022. For members with a family plan, the reward applies to adults and children, so a family of four could qualify for $100 in rewards.
