ACA Subsidies Extended Through 2025 \u2013 What This Means for You<\/strong><\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The price of everything \u2013 from gas to groceries to basic services \u2013 has gone up. While the Kansas City metro is insulated from the price increases seen on the coasts, the inflation pain here is real. Any relief will help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many individuals covered by an ACA health plan, that relief has come in the form of the Inflation Reduction Act, which extends ACA premium subsidies first granted through the American Rescue Plan (ARP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What this means for you<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you currently receive a subsidy (aka tax credit) on the Blue KC ACA health plan you purchased through the Marketplace, that support will extend through 20251<\/sup>, and your premium payments will continue to be capped at 8.5% of your income.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The act also expands subsidies to middle-income people and families who may have been previously priced out of coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
