Know what medications are covered

The Prescription Drug List – also known as a formulary – is a list of prescription medications that have been reviewed and recommended by Blue KC’s Medical and Pharmacy Management Committee. The list includes both brand-name and generic prescription medications approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) along with their tier level.

How to use the Prescription Drug List

  1. Log in to access the prescription drug list that goes with your plan, or access your prescription drug list at the link below.
  2. Find the page number for your drug by searching the alphabetical index at the end.
  3. Once you’ve found your medication, check what tier it’s on and note any restrictions or alternative options that might save you money.
  4. Look at the Drug Tier tables at the end of the introduction to see what your out-of-pocket costs will be, based on your specific plan.
