These social bonds contribute to a sense of purpose and support in their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sardinia Herb Soup is flavorful and reflects Sardinian culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sardinia Herb Soup<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Prep: 30 min<br>Cook Time: 2 hrs 20 min<br>Servings: 6<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1\/2 lb. turkey Italian sausage, casings removed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;tbsp extra virgin olive oil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;medium yellow onion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;medium carrots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;medium celery stalks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;large fennel bulb<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tsp oregano<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;tsp red pepper flakes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2&nbsp;cloves garlic, minced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4-6&nbsp;cups leafy greens such as Tuscan kale or green cabbage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1&nbsp;bunch flat-leaf parsley<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8&nbsp;cups vegetable or chicken broth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15&nbsp;oz&nbsp;can white beans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\/2&nbsp;tsp&nbsp;pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove casings from turkey Italian sausage, crumble, and cook in a large pot or Dutch oven.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove sausage from pot and set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dice onion, carrots, celery, and fennel. Roughly chop leafy greens and parsley.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Using same pot, heat olive oil over medium heat, add onion, carrots, celery, fennel, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Saut\u00e9 10 minutes or until soft and fragrant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add garlic and saut\u00e9 until fragrant, about a minute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add parsley, leafy greens, beans, and broth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bring to a boil.
