Importantly, this new indication does not require a diagnosis of obesity, which sets it apart from other recent nonweight-loss-specific indications (such as obstructive sleep apnea and cardiovascular risk reduction) for this medication class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this approval, Blue KC now provides coverage for injectable Wegovy for members diagnosed with MASH, if medical necessity criteria are met.
