Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) has initiated your annual recertification process with an email from <a href=\"https:\/\/email.bluekc.com\/MDY1LVhaVy03MDIAAAGkb11ke8llaGJuOOjQNG3pgAA0cfFDIf8njCrYrCgktGXNl9tt-JW3vHh4yvmdR2fjECv0frY=\"><strong>producerinfo@bluekc.com<\/strong><\/a> with the subject line \u201cBlue KC Invites You to Recertify.\u201d You should have received it Wednesday, September 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;It includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"acr-u20x\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A link to your certification case and login information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact information for assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You have until the end of 2026 to access your certification case and recertify, but we recommend doing so before Open Enrollment begins November 1. Please remember that ACA commissions cannot be paid if you do not complete the annual certification for both CMS FFM and Blue KC.<br><br>If you did not receive the recertification email from Blue KC, please contact <a href=\"https:\/\/email.bluekc.com\/MDY1LVhaVy03MDIAAAGkb11ke7O2gXq5eNyHnZc1jrLug9eW8Mj-E_aLpf1zFnDMFP04XUeJyt_K64rmHT7QAmbPl94=\"><strong>producerinfo@bluekc.com<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Additionally, <a href=\"https:\/\/email.bluekc.com\/MDY1LVhaVy03MDIAAAGkb11kerkJ5W8FGs81utwhkZnVkLFhpOkUT9JBRoFmCFpzrXG6LKO7dfMLn_X4-fK_D-bcynU=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recent guidance from CMS<\/a> indicates a moratorium on new agents being certified for PY 2027 and notes that if agents were not Healthcare.gov certified for PY 2026, they will not be eligible for PY 2027 certification during the moratorium period. The moratorium is effective September 22, 2026, through February 1, 2027 (unless modified earlier by CMS).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To summarize who this guidance affects:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<strong>Affected<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"acr-2szs\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Agents and brokers seeking to newly participate in the FFM or a State-based Exchange on the Federal Platform (SBE-FP) for PY 2027<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Individuals who do not currently have a PY 2026 Exchange agreement (as of September 22, 2026)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Not Affected<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"acr-e56g\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Agents and brokers already certified for PY 2026 (as of September 22, 2026)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SBEs that operate independently of the federal platform<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Web brokers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agents whose prior denials or terminations are later
