{"id":2903,"date":"2024-04-15T11:01:46","date_gmt":"2024-04-15T16:01:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bluekc.com\/blueprint\/?p=2903"},"modified":"2024-04-17T13:16:49","modified_gmt":"2024-04-17T18:16:49","slug":"groups-required-to-complete-prescription-drug-data-collection-survey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bluekc.com\/blueprint\/agents\/groups-required-to-complete-prescription-drug-data-collection-survey\/","title":{"rendered":"Groups required to complete prescription drug data collection survey"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Employer groups have received via email Blue KC\u2019s plan year 2023 Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) prescription drug data collection (RxDC) reporting survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Survey<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On April 3, 2024, Blue KC emailed group contacts (all insured and self-funded) about the RxDC reporting survey, including a link to the survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Due to a technical issue with the survey link, we sent a follow-up email on April 5 with a refreshed link. Groups whose email addresses bounced and those with no email address on file will receive a letter via U.S. mail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey requests:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Average monthly premium amount paid by the employer (on behalf of members)&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Average monthly premium amount paid by members&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Total annual premium\/premium equivalent amount&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Submission<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Groups are required to complete the survey, and the government will take compliance measures against nonadherence. Please let your employer groups know about this requirement and the importance of complying. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blue KC will submit required reporting to the Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid Services (CMS) on behalf of groups for the services we provide. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the employer group was with another insurance carrier in 2023, Blue KC will not submit information on its behalf.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a group is currently terminated but was with Blue KC in 2023, it received a survey, and we will submit on its behalf for the services we provided.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For groups that carve out certain services such as pharmacy (applicable to 100+ segment only), the federal government will allow for multiple report submissions from separate entities.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Deadline and key points<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The response deadline is May 3, 2024. This is a firm deadline.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Only one person should complete the survey to avoid duplicates.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If an employer group did not receive the survey, it may not have a current email or address on file. Please contact your Blue KC representative with an updated email address. It is imperative we have contact information on file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If we do not receive a response by May 3, 2024, the group will not be included in data submitted to CMS regarding premiums paid by employer versus employee.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;For additional information, see these&nbsp;<a
