If you have your procedure at one of these options, you earn a cash reward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What is a typical cash reward?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The amount of a cash reward you earn depends on the procedure. Visit SmartShopper using the instructions below to explore savings and rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When can I expect to receive my rewards?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On average, it can take up to 60 days from the date of service to receive rewards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why shop for healthcare procedures?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Costs can vary dramatically for the same procedure at different locations. What consumers often do not realize is that many healthcare procedures are shoppable, which means you can plan and budget for them. With SmartShopper, you can save and earn a cash reward when you shop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How much does SmartShopper cost?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SmartShopper is offered as part of your Blue KC health plan at no additional cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How do I get started?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When your doctor recommends a procedure, log onto your member portal at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/member.bluekc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MyBlueKC.com<\/a>&nbsp;or on the MyBlueKC mobile app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to <strong>Find Care<\/strong> in the left column<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Find Doctors, Specialists &amp; Hospitals<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>SmartShopper<\/strong> and search for a procedure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Your search will display estimated costs and the maximum SmartShopper reward you can earn. After comparing options, choose the best care for you and schedule an appointment at the rewards-eligible facility. Following your procedure, SmartShopper will receive your claim, process your reward, and mail a check to your home address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">* SmartShopper is available to individual and family plan ACA members and small group ACA members; and employer groups&nbsp;including fully insured large and non-ACA small group members, small group level funded members, and non-ACA individual and family plan members. Experience varies between ACA and non-ACA plans.&nbsp;If SmartShopper is not on the Find Care page of your member portal at MyBlueKC.com, talk to your employer about offering SmartShopper.
