Your health plan’s network – BlueSelect Plus – has expanded. On November 15, Providence Medical Center, St. Joseph Medical Center, and St. Mary’s Medical Center joined BlueSelect Plus, giving your employees access to more than 4,100 providers and 16 top hospitals.

Specialty hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers also included
BlueSelect Plus also includes specialty hospitals Ascentist Healthcare and Kansas City Orthopedic Institute and more than 50 ambulatory surgical centers (ASC). ASCs are modern care facilities focused on providing same-day surgical care, including diagnostic and preventive procedures, and may be more cost effective.
How plan types work within BlueSelect Plus
The plan type(s) your organization offers drives the access and level of coverage your employees receive.
- EPO: EPOs have in-network coverage when using BlueSelect Plus but no out-of-network coverage EXCEPT for emergency services.
- PPO: PPOs have some out-of-network coverage but higher out-of-pocket costs will apply.
