This month, a random sample of Blue KC members are receiving the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) survey regarding their experience with Blue KC and their healthcare providers. The survey is mandated by either the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) or The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) and is administered by SPH Analytics for Blue KC.
Blue KC members who may receive the survey include those in the following lines of business: employer group, small group ACA, ACA individual and family plans*, and Blue Medicare Advantage.
Please encourage clients to fill out the survey, stressing that it:
- Tells regulatory bodies how well providers and health insurance plans collaborate
- Gives them a chance to share their opinions about the care they receive
- Provides honest feedback that helps providers and health plans improve the healthcare experience and benefits they receive
The survey will not ask for personal identification information.
