HELP CLIENTS SYNC THEIR MARKETPLACE AND CMS DATA

May 2022

Discrepancies between Marketplace applications and CMS data are common occurrences that can frustrate consumers and brokers alike. Data matching issues (DMI) may be due to incorrect information on the application or unacceptable or no supporting documentation.

As a broker, you can help clients understand and resolve DMIs. It’s important to act now before the time to submit updates has expired and they lose advance payments of the premium tax credit or coverage. You, too, may be at risk of losing commissions if DMIs are not resolved.

As a Marketplace certified broker, you can access client Marketplace information via Blue KC’s Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) portal, Guidewell Connect, through June 1, 2022. You can identify clients with DMIs within the “Single Site Enrollment Queue” section of Guidewell Connect. After June 1, you can access and assist clients through our new EDE, HealthSherpa.

These CMS FAQs offer more on DMIs, or contact Products@bluekc.com for information about assisting clients with DMIs.
