Blue KC Works Hard to Support the Local Community

Blue KC employees spread out around the Kansas City community last month as part of Volunteer Appreciation Week (April 16-22).

Doing one of the things we do best – caring for Kansas City – more than 165 Blue KC employees donated 424 hours of volunteer time, at 11 local nonprofits, adding up to a volunteer value of nearly $12,700.

The 11 local nonprofits included: G.I.F.T., Giving the Basics, Harvesters, Hope House, Junior Achievement BizTown, Kanbe’s Markets, Penn Valley Clean Up, Ronald McDonald House Charities, School of Economics, Sleepyhead Beds, and The Whole Person

We’re honored to help make Kansas City a better place to live, work, and play! Check out the video below to see how Blue KC employees support local organizations.

Blue KC Supported the NFL Draft

Last month Blue KC was proud to support the NFL Draft from our headquarters building, which sits squarely in the hub of where the action was.

As a Kansas City Playmaker, we joined other local corporate partners to maximize the NFL Draft’s community impact by making our parking lot available to national media and hosting KSHB-TV so they could broadcast the NFL Draft while being perched above the action in our headquarters building.

Blue KC’s Jenny Housley, Senior VP and Chief Revenue Officer, expressed our enthusiasm best in this interview with KSHB-TV:
