We’re Asking You to Nominate Outstanding Coaches, Teachers and Students

Blue KC is proud to partner with Sporting KC and the Kansas City Royals to honor outstanding coaches, teachers and students throughout our community. Now’s your chance to nominate one!

Blue KC Sporting Samaritan Program: How Educators Can Be Honored!

Blue KC is proud to honor difference makers in our community, and our Sporting Samaritans partnership with Sporting KC lets us do just that.

We’ve recognized the good work of more than 40 metro-area teachers and students since the inception of Sporting Samaritans, and we’re looking forward to another year of recognizing difference-making students and teachers in our community!

Selected teachers and students get a once-in-a-lifetime experience including four tickets to a Sporting KC match, food and beverage inside the Sporting Samaritan suite, a parking pass, a customized jersey, and a meet-and-greet with former Sporting KC defender Matt Besler.

Do you know a teacher or student who’s made a difference in the Kansas City community? Click here to learn more about the program and for the nomination form.

We recently gathered our previous Blue KC Sporting Samaritans together, and hearing about the impact the program had on them and their classrooms was truly inspiring. And Sporting Samaritan ambassador Matt Besler shared how important the program is to him. Check out this video recap of the event.

Blue KC Coaches With Character Program: How Coaches Can Be Recognized!

Youth sports coaches are a special team of mentors whose collective character could build a human word cloud popping with optimism, passion, integrity, encourager, leader, and role model.

Do you remember that coach who made a difference in your life? What better way to say thank you than to recognize them at a Royals game?

Over 25 metro-area coaches have already been recognized as part of the Coaches With Character program, and we’ll honor more area coaches this year. Now is your chance to nominate your sports mentor!

Selected high school coaches will get a once-in-a-lifetime experience that includes a Kansas City Royals game for four, a merchandise gift card, a parking pass, tossing out the ceremonial first pitch, and an interview on 610 Sports Radio during the pregame show. Click here to learn more about the program and for the nomination form.

Check out this video recap of our 2022 Coaches With Character program, featuring last year’s honored coaches, Royals Chairman and CEO John Sherman and Royals Hall of Famer George Brett.
