New Pharmacy Benefit Manager
Beginning January 1, 2020, Blue KC is partnering with OptumRx to provide all your pharmacy benefits, including several ways to fill prescriptions and convenient services to help you make the most of your pharmacy plan.
You will receive a new member ID card that includes updated pharmacy information, be sure to use your new card starting January 1, 2020.
We’ll continue to offer the same excellent access to thousands of retail pharmacies, national drug stores, supermarkets, and large retailers. Beginning January 1, 2020, when you fill a prescription through a participating pharmacy, show the pharmacy your most current member ID card so they can submit a claim for coverage by your pharmacy benefit plan.
If you currently use Express Scripts for home delivery or Accredo for specialty pharmacy services, you’ll receive information in the mail about how to easily transition to OptumRx.

Starting January 1, 2020, you can view your pharmacy benefits in your Blue KC member portal by logging in at MyBlueKC.com. Click on “Plan Benefits” on the left side of the page, then select “Pharmacy.” From here, you can access your pharmacy benefits, find a pharmacy, view your prescription drug list, and more.
