Kansas City has a big heart (the Parade of Hearts and the recognizable Charlie Hustle “KC heart” t-shirt didn’t happen by accident), and one way the city cares deeply for the community is through extensive free and reduced-cost support services.
With the help of the new Blue KC Community Support Tool, community members can easily locate services in their neighborhoods. The tool compiles local support services for food, housing, transit, health, education, and so on, in one easy-to-use online directory.
The Community Support tool is available to Blue KC members and all Kansas Citians at BlueKC.com/CommunitySupport.
Everyone needs a little help sometimes.
It can be difficult to ask for help. With the Blue KC Community Support Tool, people can search for resources anonymously by ZIP code, category, keyword, program name, and organization name. The tool filters the results and populates the most relevant organizations.
Each organization provides extensive information, such as eligibility, availability, and cost guidelines. A green button on each organization’s entry connects people to next steps or an electronic contact form.
