Now more than ever there’s heightened demand for support of common behavioral health challenges like depression, anxiety, substance use, and stress.
The good news is there are many excellent resources readily available, like the newest addition to Blue KC’s behavioral health lineup – Learn to Live.
What is Learn to Live?
Learn to Live is an online program that takes a cognitive behavioral health-approach to common conditions like depression and anxiety. Its tools help you identify and challenge negative thought patterns, learn coping skills, and develop positive behaviors. It’s available for Blue KC members and covered dependents 13 and older.
Through an initial assessment, self-directed webinars, 5-minute activities, articles, and interactive tools, Learn to Live supports:
- Depression
- Stress, anxiety, and worry
- Social anxiety
- Panic
- Insomnia
- Substance use
- Resilience
Learn to Live is a confidential tool and HIPPA compliant.
What does Learn to Live cost?
Nothing! It’s available at no additional cost* to you as part of your Blue KC health plan.
Is someone available to help me use the program?
Yes, Learn to Live coaches can help you use the program’s tools and provide support and encouragement via email, text, or phone. When you enroll in Learn to Live, you will receive a coaching invitation via email. Learn to Live coaches do not provide therapy or medical care.
How long does a Learn to Live program last?
You may use as many programs as necessary to reach your personal goals. For most, that entails completing a subset of a program’s lessons. Users typically engage with Learn to Live programs for up to 12 weeks, and some see gains after just one lesson.
How do I start using Learn to Live?
Go to your member account at MyBlueKC.com, click Plan Benefits in the left column, then Behavioral Health. Push the Mindful Programs & Tools button and scroll down to Educational Tools. Here you’ll see Learn to Live and a link to access it. (Note: You may experience a short delay as your portal loads.)
