Employer groups should review Blue KC invoices for accuracy

Reviewing invoices and member eligibility for accuracy is an important practice.

Blue KC encourages employer groups to review their health insurance invoices, especially after the close of open enrollment. If they find an error or eligibility discrepancy, they need to make sure to update their enrollment systems in a timely manner. Blue KC allows a grace period of 60 days to make enrollment adjustments; however, we prefer enrollment is updated prior to eligibility changes.

As you communicate with your clients, please include this important message. We take every precaution to deliver accurate invoices to groups, but errors can occur. It is a best practice and customer responsibility to ensure they’re not being billed for members who may no longer be eligible for coverage.
