Open Enrollment deadlines for small employer groups
As Blue KC prepares for Open Enrollment season, we want to position you and your clients for success by providing critical deadlines for benefit decisions and eligibility files. The following are the target dates for Blue KC’s small group market segment. Meeting these deadlines will ensure member ID card availability by January 1, 2027.
- October 30, 2026 – Confirm benefit decisions with Blue KC sales representative
- November 20, 2026 – Deliver open enrollment file or submit BluesEnroll elections to Blue KC for physical ID cards
- December 11, 2026 – Deliver open enrollment file or submit BluesEnroll elections to Blue KC for digital ID cards
Reminder: Digital member ID card access
Please remind clients that members can access their ID cards digitally by logging into their member account at MyBlueKC.com, where they can view, print, text, or email their ID card. They can also find their digital ID cards in the MyBlueKC mobile app.
