Expanded eligibility for 2026: BlueSelect Plus network and Spira Care for small group products
In 2026, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) will expand access to the BlueSelect Plus network service area and Spira Care. The expansion applies to small group products and will allow more care choices for employers and members in surrounding counties.
Expanded eligibility details
The service area expansion paves the way for companies headquartered in the following counties to access the BlueSelect Plus network and Spira Care through Blue KC small group products:
- Missouri: Caldwell, Cass, Clay, Clinton, Dekalb, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Platte, Ray
- Kansas: Johnson, Wyandotte
Members must seek care, but are not required to live, in these counties:
- Missouri: Clay, Clinton, Jackson, Johnson, Platte
- Kansas: Johnson, Wyandotte
