Renewal letters coming soon to members in Short-Term Plus plans
Blue KC will send renewal letters, which will include 2025 rates, to Short-Term Plus members by November 1, 2024. Rates for 2025 Short-Term Plus rates will increase by an average of 8.8% in Kansas and Missouri.
Reminder about short-term auto renewals
Clients who applied by August 1 for Short-Term Plus plans will automatically renew coverage for an additional one or two years, depending on their state of residency. Auto renewals do not require action on the part of the broker or member.
- Kansas residents received a one-year automatic renewal until December 31, 2025
- Missouri residents received a two-year automatic renewal until December 31, 2026
Auto renewals will not experience medical underwriting, and rates are determined at the book-of-business level not on an individual’s claims experience.
