Spira Care achieves lower total cost of care, top quality metrics in 2025
In the world of advanced primary care, where high-quality patient outcomes – not high patient volume – is the focus, Spira Care has rightfully earned a seat at the table with its:
- Full array of primary care services under one roof to treat the whole person
- Care Teams of doctors, advanced practice providers, care guide RNs, behavioral health consultants, and other professionals
- No copay, deductible, or additional costs for eligible Blue KC members1
- Range of appointment times at nine Spira Care Centers across the Kansas City metro:
- Sick care appointments available same-day, next-day, including early and late hours, and weekend appointments at most locations
- Annual checkup appointments available within weeks at most locations
This is the Spira Care difference, and we talk about it a lot because we believe in it, patients and Care Teams applaud it, and our success measures support it.

Social Determinants of Health (SDoH)
Spira Care goes beyond treating medical issues alone. Patients are screened for food access, housing, transportation, and other SDoHs. When a need is identified, support is provided within 30 days. This means care teams address real-life factors that can impact health and help remove barriers so patients can stay healthy.
- 10 of 10 points achieved for SDoH screening (0-74 years)
- 10 of 10 points achieved for determining patients with a positive SDoH screen or identified need for food, housing or transportation who received an intervention within 30 days
