Blue KC Gives Where We Live: First Call
At Blue KC, serving Kansas City isn’t just what we do at work – it’s personal. Our employees live and work alongside Blue KC members every day, and it’s important to us that we give back to the community we love.
One way Blue KC does that is through partnerships with organizations like First Call, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing the impact of addiction in Kansas City.
Whether it’s volunteering, sharing talent and resources, serving on a board, or helping another way, Blue KC employees embrace the idea that we “Give Where We Live.”
Rachel Arnett, Blue KC Vice President of Sales, serves on First Call’s board. Their mission is important to her because she recognizes that one person’s healing creates a stronger community.
She and Emily Hage, First Call CEO, talk about our partnership and its impact on Kansas City in the video below.

There is help
According to First Call, for every one person fighting addiction, 10 more are impacted. If you or a loved one is struggling with substance use disorder, there is help.
First Call’s 24/7 crisis call line is available at 816-361-5900.
You can also call, text or chat the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline any time if you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, having mental health struggles, emotional distress, alcohol or drug use concerns, or just need to talk.
