On June 11, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC), in partnership with the Kansas City Royals, were recognized by an international industry – Clio Health – for the award-winning behavioral health documentary called “Not Good Enough”. The documentary is part of the Shut Out the Stigma initiative, which provides support for behavioral health as a part of whole-person well-being, and focuses on removing the stigma surrounding mental health.

“Not Good Enough” appeared on the Clio Health Shortlist, along with reputable brands such as Johnson & Johnson and Powerade. Clio Health, founded in 2009, is one of five verticals developed by the Clios to celebrate creative excellence in a specialized field. The program champions boundary-pushing marketing, advertising and communications that promote physical, mental and social well-being. Each cycle, leaders from across the global health industry convene to determine which entries will earn the prestigious Grand, Gold, Silver and Bronze Clio Health Awards.

“We are once again excited to see international recognition from an esteemed organization like Clio Health. We believe the real reward is increasing large-scale awareness about behavioral health and removing the stigma,” said Jenny Housley, , Blue KC Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue  Officer. “We are fortunate to have a great partner in the Kansas City Royals who feels as strongly about this vital topic as we do.”
