Blue KC Wins Silver For “Not Good Enough” Documentary at National Film Industry Competition
In joint production by Blue KC and the Kansas City Royals, film brings home three more silver awards
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) recently won silver three times at The Telly Awards national competition for the documentary “Not Good Enough.” The film is a joint production between Blue KC and the Kansas City Royals.
The film won a silver award in three categories: General-Branded Content; General-CSR: Corporate Social Responsibility; General-Documentary: Long Form. Blue KC was recognized in the 2024 competition that featured other national brands, such as Cargill Inc, UPS and Wall Street Journal.
“We are so excited to showcase the “Not Good Enough” documentary in a highly respected program like The Telly Awards,” said Christina Lively, Blue KC Chief Marketing Officer. “In partnership with the Kansas City Royals, we believe that we are increasing awareness about youth athlete mental health and how we as parents, coaches and teachers play one of the most important roles in their lives.”
The “Not Good Enough” documentary is a 45-minute look into the perspective of our youth athletes and the toll perfectionism takes on their behavioral health. To watch the film for free, click here. The film is part of the Shut Out the Stigma initiative, which provides support for behavioral health as a part of overall health and well-being while focusing on removing the stigma surrounding mental health.
The Telly Awards annually honor excellence in video and television across all screens, receiving over 12,000 entries globally from six continents and all 50 states. Founded in 1979 to honor local, regional and cable television commercials, with non-broadcast video and television programming added soon after, the award has evolved with the rise of digital video to include branded content, documentary, social media, immersive and more.
The award-winning documentary, “Not Good Enough,” has now captured recognition from four different film industry organizations.
