Reminder: Eligible groups have until February 20 to complete Employer Size Survey
On January 28, Blue KC sent an email to certain groups requesting they complete our Employer Size Survey, which verifies employer size and reports medical loss ratio (MLR). Those groups include small groups with fewer than 60 members and a limited number of large groups. If your group is eligible to take the survey, you will have received an email from Blue KC.
Please complete the survey by February 20. If you believe you should have received the survey and don’t find it in your email inbox, contact MSP_COB@BlueKC.com for help, and please include your group number.
Here are a few things to know about the survey:
- If you did not receive an email and your group has fewer than 60 members, your broker may have replied on your behalf.
- Small groups must complete the survey to be eligible for an MLR rebate*.
- This is the first year we have combined the Employer Size Survey and MLR Survey into one survey; the surveys were combined at the request of employer groups.
- You will no longer receive a separate MLR Survey in June.
This survey is part of our compliance commitment related to the Affordable Care Act and Medicare secondary payor requirements. If you do not complete the survey, Blue KC may change the premium rates of your Medicare-eligible employees to reflect Blue KC as the primary payer for coverage.
