Employees to receive updated ID cards
On April 1, Blue KC began updating member ID cards for plans with out-of-network benefits.
Employees of groups with a May 1 renewal date will be the first to receive updated member ID cards in the mail. Distribution after May 1 will coordinate with a group’s renewal date.
Employees of groups with renewal dates before May 1 will receive updated cards in 2026.
Updated cards will include in-network and out-of-network deductible and out-of-pocket maximum amounts. Additionally, the suitcase icon indicating BlueCard access will be replaced with PPO, HMO, EPO, however there is no change to current BlueCard access.
