Blue KC will sunset relationship with preferred banking partner Further
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) has decided to sunset its relationship with Further, its banking partner for health savings accounts (HSA), flexible savings accounts (FSA), health reimbursement accounts (HRA), and dependent child reimbursement accounts (DCRA). Further was acquired by HealthEquity in 2021.
The relationship will sunset December 31, 2024, and Blue KC will not replace Further with a new preferred banking partner. As a result of Further being acquired by HealthEquity, existing Further clients will need to take action to transition their accounts to HealthEquity’s platform or choose a new banking custodian.
This timeline shows when communications will be distributed about the sunsetting. Blue KC will not be involved in the HealthEquity platform transition work.
