Open enrollment submission dates for fall 2024
Blue KC offers two open enrollment deadlines – one for physical member ID cards and one for digital member ID cards – to provide flexibility as you manage your 2024 open enrollment process.
Please submit benefit information and open enrollment files/eligibility updates to Blue KC based on the following schedule to ensure new member ID cards are available to your employees by January 1, 2025:
- October 18, 2024 – Paperwork deadline
- November 21, 2024 – Eligibility file – Physical member ID card
- December 13, 2024 – Eligibility file – Digital member ID card
Note for Small Groups: If your group makes plan changes after this timeframe, employees will receive updated member ID cards once plan changes have been processed. Employees should continue to use their existing member ID cards until replacement cards arrive.
Your employees can access their member ID cards digitally by logging into their member portal at MyBlueKC.com, where they can view, print, text, or email their ID card. They can also find their digital ID card at MyBlueKC mobile app.
