Relationship with banking partner Further to sunset December 31
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) has decided to sunset its relationship with Further, its banking partner for Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA), and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts (DCRA). Further was acquired by HealthEquity in 2021.
This relationship will sunset December 31, 2024, and Blue KC will not replace Further with a new banking partner.
For current Further clients
If your company or organization is an existing Further client no immediate action is required on your part for the transition to take effect. HealthEquity will manage the transition process. In July, HealthEquity sent a detailed notification to employers with information on the transition timeline and the next steps to ensure a smooth changeover to the HealthEquity portal.
Impact on Further members
Your employees will not need to take any action for the transition to take effect. In October, HealthEquity will directly communicate with your employees, providing all necessary details about the transition. Please be assured that monthly administration fees will remain unchanged.
Key points:
- Blue KC will not be involved in the HealthEquity platform transition work.
- HealthEquity will provide comprehensive support and guidance throughout the transition.
