Reminder: Prescription drug list updates take effect July 1
In May we communicated with you and impacted employees that updates to the Blue KC Prescription Drug Lists (PDL) would take effect July 1, 2025. The following PDLs are included in the update:
- Premium Drug List
- Select Drug List
- Missouri Essential Health Benefits Drug List
- Kansas Essential Health Benefits Drug List
Employees whose prescriptions are impacted by the update received an email. By July 1, they can find their updated PDL at BlueKC.com and on the member portal at MyBlueKC.com, then:
- Click Plan Benefits in the left column
- Click Pharmacy
- Scroll down to Prescription Drug List and click View Drug List
In an effort to empower members, we emphasize the invaluable resources available on their member portal. We encourage members to proactively review accumulators, assess drug pricing, and leverage additional features for a comprehensive understanding of their pharmacy benefit coverage.
