Get out your calendar and schedule an appointment with your doctor to get a flu shot in September or October. You can also get a flu shot at your local pharmacy or supermarket. Ask your providers about the appropriate flu shot dosage given your age and medical history.
Why do I need a flu shot?
9 out of 10 people hospitalized with flu had at least one underlying condition. The risk of flu-related complications increases significantly for those aged 65 plus. This is especially true if you have heart or lung health conditions. An annual vaccination can help protect you.
