Have secondary health plan coverage? Let us know for more efficient claims processing
Many Blue KC members have coverage from another health plan – such as a spouse/partner employer plan or Medicare – in addition to their Blue KC plan. This is referred to as secondary coverage.
When you share information with us about your secondary coverage, you’ll have a lower likelihood of:
- Incorrect bills from your provider
- Delays in claim processing
Importantly, sharing your secondary coverage information with Blue KC helps you capture cost benefits from your health plan coverage.
How do I tell Blue KC about my secondary coverage?
Log in to your member account at MyBlueKC.com, then:
- Click your name at the top right of the page
- Select View Profile at the top of the list
- Scroll to Have other insurance coverage? and click Update Other Coverage Information
