How to use SmartShopper

Save money on qualified healthcare procedures and earn cash rewards when you shop and choose cost-effective, eligible procedures. You’re empowered to be a savvy customer of healthcare by shopping, getting estimated pricing, comparing procedure locations, and making informed decisions.

As a part of your health plan benefits, you have access to SmartShopper. Utilize the program to compare costs, save money out-of-pocket, and earn a cash reward as a share of the savings.

Here’s how to access SmartShopper:

  1. Login in at
  2. Once you’re logged in, go to “FIND CARE”

3. Next, click on “Find Doctors, Specialists & Hospitals” and a box will appear that says Sapphire. Click “FIND CARE” again.

4. Here you will find the SmartShopper tile where you can begin your search for a reward eligible location for your procedure or service.

The SmartShopper program is offered by Sapphire Digital, an independent company. Incentives available for select procedures only.

* SmartShopper is available to individual and family plan ACA members and small group ACA members; and employer groups including fully insured large and non-ACA small group members, small group level funded members, and non-ACA individual and family plan members. Experience varies between ACA and non-ACA plans. If SmartShopper is not on the Find Care page of your member portal at, talk to your employer about offering SmartShopper. SmartShopper is not available to Medicare Advantage members.
