Small group and ACA members now have an interactive, real-time view of health plan coverage with Plan Navigator

Blue KC members may already visit their member account at MyBlueKC.com for claims and EOBs, digital member ID card, Find Care, pharmacy, and anything else specific to their Blue KC plan.

MyBlueKC.com now has a new feature – Plan Navigator – that helps them quickly put their finger on coverage specifics.

Where is Plan Navigator?

Once logged in at MyBlueKC.com, members can click Plan Benefits in the left column, which will land them on the Plan Navigator page.

What’s on Plan Navigator

Covered services

On the Plan Navigator page, members will see an array of boxes for services covered by their plans. A click on each box reveals coverage information about specific services.

For instance, the Doctor’s Office and Specialist Visits box will show services such as annual physical, sick care, and flu shots. A click into each service shows how the plan covers that service.

Real time deductible and out-of-pocket max tracker

If a member has met their deductible or out-of-pocket max, the service will display coverage information based on meeting them. For instance, “Your family has met their deductible, so the plan pays 80% of the cost,” “After you meet your deductible, the plan pays 80% of the cost,” or “Jeffrey has met his out-of-pocket maximum, so the plan pays 100% of the cost.”

To the right they’ll see the Spending Tracker with real-time deductible and out-of-pocket max amounts.

Other helpful resources

We’ve packed Plan Navigator with information members want easy access to, such as:

  • Find Care – Most services will connect members directly to our Find Care provider directory and provide appropriate key words to use in search
  • Virtual Care – Members can connect to a virtual care appointment directly from the virtual care service box.
  • Additional Resources – Certain services, like Pregnancy and Family Planning, include additional resources, such as breast pump information and our guide to a health pregnancy.
  • Prior Authorization – If a service requires prior authorization, it will be clearly indicated.

Plan Navigator is available on MyBlueKC.com now! Members can visit, click around, and experience how this one tool can greatly simplify life when they need health plan information, and they need it now.
