Blue KC is proud to offer a range of plan options to fit your health and lifestyle needs
When you’re thinking about your health plan choices, make sure to:
Search drugs by name
Drug lists and tiers may change during the year. Check if your covered prescription drugs have changed.
PDFs listed below are examples for Kansas and Missouri plans only and may not reflect the prescription drugs that will be covered under your policy. Once you’re enrolled in a Blue KC policy, you should review the specific list for your policy on your member account. Coverage for any prescription drug is subject to the terms and conditions of your specific plan and may vary depending on the circumstance of the administration of the drug, such as whether it is prescribed by your doctor and picked up at a pharmacy or administered to a member that is admitted to a hospital. If a specific prescription drug is of interest to you, please contact 888-890-6912 before purchasing your plan to better understand your options.

Open enrollment period (OEP) is when you can select or change your medical, dental, and vision benefits for the upcoming year. For 2026, OEP is November 1, 2025 – January 15, 2026.
If you decide to change to a different Blue KC plan, please make your selection by December 15, which will ensure your plan is effective January 1, 2026. Plan changes made between December 16 and January 15 will be effective February 1, 2026.
You aren’t required to change your plan unless it is no longer offered. It’s important to review your coverage options each year. Prices and plan coverage, along with lifestyle and individual health, are constantly changing. You should make sure your existing plan is still the best for you in terms of coverage and cost.
To align with the Health Insurance Marketplace, Blue KC is now requiring members to provide their Social Security Number (SSN) or other approved documents in order to enroll in a plan. An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number will no longer be accepted. If you received a letter stating
your plan has been terminated due to records showing your SSN or approved document is not on file, follow the next steps your letter provided.
Blue KC Individual & Family Plans include automatic renewal. If you miss the opportunity to renew or change to a new plan, don’t worry. You will be automatically renewed into similar coverage for 2026 with no lapse in coverage. But it’s important to not rely on automatic renewal. While the coverage you will be automatically renewed into will have similar coverage, your cost and coverage details may be different than your current plan, so review your options carefully.
Before the start of OEP, determine what coverage you’ll need in the coming year. Consider:
· Are your prescriptions and preferred providers covered under your current plan?
· Did you take full advantage of your plan in 2025?
· Do you have upcoming health needs (surgery, medication change, etc.) or changes to your medical history or family situation that require more or less coverage?
· Which benefits are most important to you?
You also need to know how much you want to spend. It’s important to consider the full annual cost of coverage, including premiums, co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses
