Small group brokers: Earn extra incentives for transitioning Humana clients to Blue KC

Blue KC is pleased to offer extra incentives when you help small group clients transition from a Humana group plan to Blue KC. 

Incentives apply to non-ACA level funded ASO (5-99) and fully insured (51-99). The ACA segment is not eligible.

About the program

  • Non-ACA level funded ASO (5-99) and fully insured (51-99)
    • Largely business as usual, with the exception that we will allow current Humana January 2023 – April 2023 renewal groups to be onboarded between May 2023 – July 2023 with a copy of their most recent renewal, instead of a current renewal.
    • The employer group will be underwritten using our standard Blue KC CURV process for groups with 10 or more enrolled. Applications are required for groups with 5-9 enrolled.

  • Initial submission requirements
  • Out-of-pocket max credit
    • Applicable to new Humana groups only
    • Eligible effective dates: Sold May 1, 2023 to December 1, 2023 
    • We will accept deductible/OOPM reports and EOBs from Humana (reports preferred)
    • Reports and EOBs must be received no later than 60 days after the effective date
    • If no report or EOB is received, our standard auto prorate/credit rules will apply
