At Blue KC, we take benefits education seriously. So seriously, in fact, that we’ve designated a team to support you and your employees during the Open Enrollment period and beyond.

The Benefits Education Team is here to make it easier for your employees to understand and use the Blue KC benefits available to them. The more they know, the more we hope they’ll engage with their health tools, services, and programs throughout the year.

Mark your calendar with important OE deadlines.

Blue KC is pleased to again offer two options for open enrollment timelines – one for physical ID cards and one for digital ID cards. This year, all members will receive new ID cards in accordance with new Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) regulations. To make sure we get the new ID cards to members by January 1, 2022, please submit your OE files and eligibility updates per the schedule below:

  • Confirm Blue KC Plan Benefits: Monday, November 1
  • OE File Due Dates
    • Physical & Digital ID Cards
      • Eligibility Updates: Monday, November 22
    • Digital ID Card Only
      • Eligibility Updates: Thursday, December 16
      • NOTE: Members can log into their member portal at anytime and easily view, print, text, or email a digital version of their current member ID card. Members can also get a digital version of their ID card via the MyBlueKC mobile app. More information about the MyBlueKC mobile app can be found here.
