KANSAS CITY, MO. (June 22, 2021)—Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) is proud to announce Dillon Strohm, Associate General Counsel for Blue KC, has been recognized as a member of Ingram’s 40 Under Forty Class of 2021. This annual award acknowledges the achievements of Kansas City’s young leaders who are making a difference in the community.

Strohm plays an instrumental role in identifying and contracting with vendors and partners that share Blue KC’s values, support our members and benefit the communities they serve. Most recently, Dillon supported Blue KC in the launch of Mindful by Blue KC, a new health initiative dedicated to reducing the stigma around behavioral health in our communities while making care more accessible and affordable.

Additionally, Strohm works closely with Blue KC’s community health and investment teams to identify tangible solutions to breaking down barriers to healthcare. With his counsel and support, Blue KC created a network connecting healthcare providers with community-based resources at the point of care, such as meal delivery or transportation, so they may better serve their patients.

“Dillon has proven to be an exemplary leader with a notable enthusiasm for advancing Blue KC’s mission – affordable healthcare for all,” said Erin Stucky, President and CEO at Blue KC. “His leadership skills, astute business and legal counsel and community-minded values continue to make a difference.”

In addition to his role at Blue KC, Strohm serves as a Board Member and Vice President of the Association of Corporate Counsel Mid-America Chapter, reaching Central-Western Missouri, Central-Eastern Kansas and greater Omaha, Nebraska, where he supports other in-house legal professionals and engages in pro bono activities to support small businesses that cannot otherwise afford legal counsel.

“My legal background is more varied than most attorneys but has a consistent theme of helping clients complete successful transactions, and that is what provides my daily motivation,” said Strohm. “I believe that real success is achieved by lifting others up, something I am fortunate to have the opportunity to pursue as an in-house attorney.”
