Jenny Housley, Blue KC Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer,  promoted to President and named successor

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – (October 29, 2025) Erin Stucky, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC), has announced she will retire by the end of 2026 after more than 30 years with the company, including more than six years as its top executive.

Jenny Housley, who serves as the Blue KC Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer, will succeed Stucky and has been promoted to President of Blue KC, effective immediately.

As President and CEO, Stucky has been dedicated to Blue KC’s customers, working with clients, brokers, and providers throughout her career. Stucky’s leadership at Blue KC has focused on improving behavioral healthcare access and reducing the stigma often associated with mental health. Stucky has also been a strong advocate for strengthening local provider partnerships and improving the member experience.

During her tenure, Stucky led the company through the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting providers and community organizations at a critical juncture. The company has also been recognized repeatedly for exceptional customer experience results and community engagement.

Throughout her career, Stucky has been active in the greater Kansas City community serving in roles on local boards including the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Union Station Kansas City, and The Civic Council of Greater Kansas City. Additionally, she is a member of the Boards of Trustees for Cristo Rey and MRIGlobal and serves on the Children’s Mercy Research Institute Advisory Council. She has been named to Ingram’s 250, a group of the most powerful and influential business leaders in Greater Kansas City, for the past three years. Stucky also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA).

“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as President and CEO of Blue KC,” said Stucky. “It has been a meaningful journey, and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our Board, our employees, our customers, our business partners, and the Kansas City community for their support.”

The Blue KC Board of Directors selected Jenny Housley as Stucky’s successor after a diligent selection process and has been working closely with Stucky on a transition plan.

Housley joined the leadership team at Blue KC in 2016 after 21 years in senior leadership roles at Lockton Companies Inc. advising employers on employee benefits. Housley has assumed progressively expanded executive roles at Blue KC, currently managing Sales, Labor Unions, Corporate Strategy, Customer Experience, Marketing, Product Development, and Underwriting.

Housley has an authentic and deep commitment to Kansas City and is active in numerous civic and charitable organizations in the community. She currently serves on the boards of the Kansas City Area Development Council and its Executive Committee, The Civic Council of Greater Kansas City and its KC Tomorrow Leadership Group, and the Kansas City Sports Commission. Additionally, Housley has garnered multiple recognitions over the years, including the Kansas City Business Journal’s 2021 Women Who Mean Business (now called Women of Influence) and 2019 Ingram’s WeKC highlighting the top female executives in Kansas City.

“I am honored to be entrusted with this incredible opportunity to lead Blue KC,” said Housley. “This is a pivotal moment for our industry, and I look forward to building on the strong foundation that Erin has established. With the talented teams at Blue KC, we will continue our mission of providing affordable access to healthcare and improving the health of our nearly one million members.”

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City Board Chair, Anne St. Peter, shared the Board’s appreciation for Stucky’s leadership and their confidence in Housley as the next Blue KC president.

“On behalf of our Board of Directors, I want to express our sincere gratitude to Erin for her over 30 years of dedicated service to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City. Erin’s tireless devotion to our employees, customers, and the Kansas City community is palpable,” said St. Peter. “Jenny is the right person to lead Blue KC forward, building on our strong foundation.”

Stucky and Housley will work together over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.

“Our Board and I are excited for Jenny to step into this role. We have full faith in her abilities and are confident that her leadership will continue to drive our mission forward as the healthcare industry continues to evolve,” said Stucky. “Blue KC is in excellent hands.”
