KANSAS CITY, MO. (October 24, 2022)—Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) has once again been recognized as one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America for 2022 by Healthiest Employers®, the leading national recognition program for employee wellness. Blue KC rose 47 spots from the previous year, up to No. 36. The award honors organizations from around the country that are demonstrating care for their employees by investing in health and well-being solutions and initiatives.

“Our goal at Blue KC is to improve each and every year, so I’m so pleased and proud to see our organization identified again in 2022 for a commitment to employee well-being,” said Erin Stucky, Blue KC’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “While we welcome the recognition, we understand there is always work to be done. Moving forward, we’ll remain focused on whole-person wellness and striving to improve the health of all employees.”

The Healthiest 100 honorees were chosen by a national, non-biased group of representatives from the academic, medical, wellness and business communities. Each organization was assessed based on the six categories: Culture and Leadership Commitment, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communications and Marketing, Programming and Interventions, and Reporting and Analytics.

In February, Blue KC was named a 2022 Healthiest Employers honoree in the 1,500-4,999 employees category by the Kansas City Business Journal. Honorees of the regional awards are then considered for the national award. More information about the national award, including a list of the 100 honorees, can be found here.
