KANSAS CITY, MO. (July 14, 2021)—Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) is proud to announce Jenny Housley, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, has been named a member of the Kansas City Business Journal’s (KCBJ) Women Who Mean Business Class of 2021.

KCBJ’s Women Who Mean Business recognizes local leaders who are making a difference within their organization, industry and in their community. To be chosen, honorees must be an entrepreneur leading a business, the highest-ranking woman or highest-ranking woman reporting to a female CEO, a partner leading a practice group or serving on an executive committee, or a nonprofit executive. A panel of six judges selected the 25 honorees from hundreds of nominations.

As Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President, Jenny oversees the Medicare, Small Group, Mid-Market and Large Group sales teams, the sales operations team, commercial product development and customer experience at Blue KC. Jenny is responsible for the retention of key customers and strategic oversight of the company’s new business development.

Jenny is also an active and engaged member of the Kansas City community, currently participating as a board member of Starlight Theatre, Kansas City Area Development Council, The Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, KC Tomorrow Leadership Group and serves on the Shawnee Mission East Fund Grant Committee. She is also involved in the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Women’s Leadership Council and is the chair of the Queens of the Diamond fundraising event for the Kansas City Urban Youth Academy. Jenny previously served on the Greater Kansas City YMCA Board of Directors and the Community LINC Board of Directors.

“Jenny has been instrumental in advancing Blue KC’s mission and business development over the past five years,” said Erin Stucky, President and CEO at Blue KC. “Jenny’s impressive business and leadership skills have led to countless contributions both within Blue KC and in the larger Kansas City community. She is more than deserving of this recognition by the Kansas City Business Journal.”
