Mohamed Abdalla and Baradin Ahmed are like many friends who’ve known each other since first grade – they joke, play soccer, and go to school together. But the genesis of their friendship is anything but usual. They met in a refugee camp in Kenya after their families fled civil war in Sudan and in 2017 came to Kansas City.
Their story of optimism and perseverance inspired their teacher to nominate them as Blue KC Sporting Samaritans.
Meet Mohamed and Baradin in this video and read their story.
