KANSAS CITY, MO. (October 18, 2023)—Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) has once again been recognized as one of the Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America for 2023 by Healthiest Employers®, the leading national recognition program for employee wellness. Blue KC rose 5 spots from the previous year, up to #31. The award honors organizations from around the country that are demonstrating care for their employees by investing in health and well-being solutions and initiatives.

Each organization was assessed based on the following six categories: Culture and Leadership Commitment, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communications and Marketing, Programming and Interventions, and Reporting and Analytics. Additionally, applicants were scored based on a submitted essay asking additional questions related to chronic conditions and workplace health.
